Craftsmanship serving the community

Moroccan embroidery is not limited to clothing. It also adorns everyday objects such as cushions, tablecloths, and curtains, often used for special occasions such as

weddings. Traditionally, young girls embroidered their own wedding dresses, adorned with motifs symbolizing their culture and identity.

Embroidery also plays an important social and economic role. In the past, embroidery was an essential component of the education of girls from wealthy families; today, it allows many women, particularly in rural areas, to support themselves. In a context where some young girls cannot follow a traditional educational path, embroidery has become a professional alternative, offering them an opportunity for emancipation.
