MANUFACTURE OF EMBROIDERIES

The process of making Moroccan cross stitch embroidery is carried out by embroiderers from the Meknes region, where the founder's ancestors come from. This work is carried out in collaboration with Karima El Khayyate . Cross stitch is the main technique used in this embroidery. It consists of creating cross-shaped stitches on the weft of the fabric, following a precise pattern. Each cross is formed by two diagonal stitches that overlap, creating clean and regular shapes. The embroiderers carefully follow the pattern, counting each stitch to ensure the precision and symmetry of the pattern.

MANUFACTURE OF LAMPSHADES

The manufacturing process is carried out by hand by the designer, Zahira. It combines precision and creativity. The manufacturing process begins with the design of a metal frame, which serves as a structure, and the choice of embroidered fabric, the key component of Tarz Art lighting. The fabric is cut, stretched and fixed on the frame to create a harmonious shape. Each lampshade is then checked to ensure even diffusion of light and an impeccable finish.

MANUFACTURE OF CERAMICS

The ceramic at the heart of these lights is hand-shaped. Inspired by traditional Moroccan turning and modeling techniques, it is carefully shaped to create a variety of shapes: round bases, elegant columns, or even openwork and finely engraved structures. Each ceramic piece is unique, fired at high temperatures in traditional kilns that reveal natural colors and unique textures. Finishes can vary, ranging from glossy or matte colored enamel to matte and mineral textures, creating unique plays of light and reflections when the lamp is lit.

FINAL ASSEMBLY

The final assembly of Tarz Art lighting fixtures is a meticulous process that combines handcrafted elements to create unique and refined pieces. Each fixture features hand-embroidered lampshades, ceramics crafted using traditional Moroccan techniques, and high-quality electrical components.

Ceramics are used as a base and are carefully fixed to ensure the stability of the luminaire.

Electrical components, such as sockets, cables, and switches, are then integrated, complying with all safety standards. These elements, primarily manufactured in France, ensure the proper functioning and durability of the lighting fixture. The final assembly thus combines the elegance of Moroccan craftsmanship with the reliability of modern technology, creating lighting fixtures that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and durable.
